Shared Server -- Your site is hosted on one of VoyageurWeb's shared web servers with solid security and plenty of bandwidth to the Internet. Multiple web sites share space on one machine -- like an apartment. Best for:
Dedicated Server -- Your site is hosted on a server behind our firewall.
You either own the server (server co-location) or lease it from VoyageurWeb

- Smaller sites (less than 60 pages or 50Mb of data)
- Typical per month budget of $15 to $55
- Web site access statistics
Dedicated Server -- Your site is hosted on a server behind our firewall.
You either own the server (server co-location) or lease it from VoyageurWeb
-- like a condo. Best if you:
- Have a server but need more bandwidth or support
- Have strong security needs (Intranet, etc.)
- Want flexibility in hosting services, but site has features that won't
- transfer well between servers
- need web site access statistics
- Already have a high-speed line (T1 or better) to your location with spare bandwidth
- Have in-house server administration staff
- Have a highly reliable high-speed link to your site
- Have your own firewall for security
